ARQC and ARPC

An ARQC is generated by an EMV card upon request from a payment terminal to obtain authorization for a transaction from the issuer. The issuer validates the ARQC and generates an ARPC response. The terminal sends the ARPC to the card, which will generate its own ARPC to compare to the issuer's ARPC in order to validate the transaction. Generating an ARQC and ARPC requires a set of EMV tags from the terminal and card, as well as the card's master key and session key.
