heart of the USA and the most important banking
centre in the world.
The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension
bridges in the United States, stretches 1825 m over
the East River connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Broadway is the symbol of American
theater
Chinatown is one of the oldest Chinese
enclaves outside of Asia
Grand Central Station is the largest train station in
the world and the busiest building in New York City in
terms of visitors.
NY is often called
the cultural capital of
the USA. There are
more than 800
museums in NY. One
of the best known is
the Metropolitan
Museum of Art
Guggenheim museum contains one of the
world`s finest collections of contemporary art.
Carnegie Hall in New York is one of
the world's most renowned
concert halls.
Central Park is called
«the lungs of NY».
There are lakes, nice
green avenues, two
skating rinks, many
sports grounds and
playgrounds for
children.
