Introduction

Core Tables
 In T24, Core Tables are considered as a BASE for any application
 To be finalized at the stage of Analysis
 To be set up during implementation process
 Used across all applications in T24
COMPANY

As the name suggest, it contains Company name details


Only one record per company
 ID is GB0010001
Allows Auto ID generation for T24 products
Also required for T24 reporting process

Helps in automatic ID generation of certain application in T24


Stores Auto ID generation condition of T24 application
 Set up in the field “Pgm Autom ID” in COMPANY table
Locking file stores all automatic generated numbers

Stores currency related informations


 Numeric CCY Code
 No of Decimals
 Exchange rates (Buy/sell rates)

Base Currency can be defined in


“CURRENCY” file
To set so, specify “0” in the field
called “Rank” in currency

Quotation Code
 Indicates the method of quotation of the exchange rate
 As discussed earlier, two methods of Quotation are used in T24
• Direct
• Indirect
Direct quotation is termed as UK Type environment
Indirect quotation is termed as Non Uk Type environment

Direct Quotation
 When local currency is quoted against 1unit of foreign currency is called as Direct
Quotation
Indirect Quotation
 When foreign currency is quoted against 1 unit of local currency is called as Indirect
Quotation
In currency table, types of quotation mentioned above are defined in
“Quotation Code” field.

0 = 1 unit of Foreign Currency


1 = 10 units of Foreign Currency
2 = 100 units of Foreign
Currency
3 = 1000 units of Foreign
Currency
4 = 10000 units of Foreign
Currency
5 = 100000 units of Foreign

Quotation Pips
 Specifies the decimal displacement of a PIP when the Currency is quoted against
US dollars or Pounds sterling
 In currency table, Quotation Pips are defined in the field as indicated in the screen
COUNTRY

Holds the static details of each country


ID of this table is standard ISO country Code

Though, all application in T24 is fully depend on currency, it is necessary to


define the details of each individual Country
The details as follows
 Country Name
 Currency Codes
 Geographical Block Details etc
Country can be categorize based on
 Country
 Region
 Geographical Block
COUNTRY (Cont..)

T24 provides an option to specify the country as shown in the screen below
within a particular geographical block
It is possible to segregate a Region within a Country where the public
holidays differ from other parts of the Country
COUNTRY.GROUP

To differentiate residence and


Non-residence customers
Helps in applying charges
HOLIDAY

To specify the public holidays for each Country, or Region within a Country,
for the calendar years
System automatically generates Non-working weekend days for the year
HOLIDAY
HOLIDAY

Each T24 Application will refer to this table during input validation to verify
that any dates entered by the User are working days
An override will allow non-working days
The COUNTRY tables must be set up before this table can be created
DATES

To store the date of T24


Contains one dates record per company
Maintains its own date (T24) and does not go by system date (Calendar
Date)
DATES
LANGUAGE

Identifies the Language to be used for correspondence


At present four languages are used
 English, French, German, Spanish
CATEGORY

Contains all T24 Category Codes


To classify T24 Accounts and Contracts
Defines category for PL heads
TRANSACTION

Holds all information about T24 transaction codes


For each T24 Application, a range of Transaction codes has been
assigned for identification purpose
Used for Accounting and Reporting purpose
TRANSACTION
FT.CHARGE.TYPE

To define conditions for Various type of charges


Used across all financial transactions in T24
For each type of charges, Flat amount can be set up
Flat charge can be defined for each currency
FT.CHARGE.TYPE

To define conditions for various type of commissions


Used across all financial transactions in T24
Charge amount could be defined in Percentage
Varies according to the deal type
Commission Types in T24

In T24, three types of Commissions are possible


 FLAT
 LEVEL
 BAND
These types are defined in the field “Calculation Basis” in
FT.COMMISSION.TYPE file

Commission Type - Level

If Level is specified in FT.COMMISSION.TYPE file, then only one


calculation is performed
 1.5% on 100,000
FT.COMMISSION.TYPE

Calculation Basis
 Specifies whether the
commission amount is to be
calculated on a percentage
basis, as a unit, or as a rate
per lot basis

Commission Type –Band

If Band is specified in FT.COMMISSION.TYPE file,


then two calculations are performed
 1% up to 50,000
 2% up to 100,000
