A land based network refers
to the network that can
transmit informati on through
towers(land based) or any
other land based
infrastructure that can
facilitate the need of
transmission .
Land based wireless network can classified in
two type.
Cellular services
Packet radio network
via RF signals.
HOW IT WORK
A special transceiver known as an RF modem
breaks down data into pieces or packet. They
picked by radio tower and forwarded to the
proper address. If a packet is not received in
good condition, the received service
automatically ask the sending modem to
resend the missing or corrupted packets.
ADVANTAGES
a. Communication is slow.
