TITLE BLOCK

LOCATION
PLANNING YOUR SKETCH
When laying out a drawing sheet, you will need to consider:

1. The size and scale of the object you will show the sheet size.
2. The measurement system (units) for the drawing.
3. The space necessary for standard notes and title block.

Note:
The object you are drawing is the “star” of the
sketch. Keep the object near the center of the sheet.
It should be boldly drawn, using thick visible lines.
Make it large enough to fill most of the sheet so that
the details appear clear.
REQUIREMENT FOR
CAD DRAWING
 Software for CAD lessons: SolidWorks

Please use SolidWorks software that can be obtained

from lab technician. Other version will result in
SolidWorks CAD file(s) cannot be opened by
lecturer/tutor, and will be considered as ‘0’ mark.

 Students are encouraged to practice drawings and CAD skills

by themselves or by study groups independently.
