NBCPP-Program Timings Release

 Scope and Assumptions
Project Objective: Program Prep application is being introduced with new program “Timings Module”. Changes introduced will have an impact certain areas of the Application and below is the outline of QA
effort, Strategy and testing activities to address the changes in application.

Testing Scope: Below is the QA Scope considered for this project

Total Requirements: 11 ; User Stories/Sub Flows: 50 (around 50 TC’s to be created)

The following Program Timing and user roles are in scope for new initiative:
• Addition of new role
• Timing Templates
• Available Timings
• Completed Timings NBCPP - Program
• Prod user functionality Timings
Cross Browser combinations in scope: ( 50 Functional TC’s)
• Win 7+ IEv11 (Primary Browser) – full testing (Admin – 50 (All New TC’s), Role2 - 22, Role3- 15 ) – Total TC’s count = 87
• Win 7+ Firefox v52+ = 50 (Admin – 13 (Priority TC’s), Role2 - 22, Role3- 15) – Total TC’s count = 50
• Win 7+ Chrome v55+ = 50 (Admin – 13 (Priority TC’s), Role2 - 22, Role3- 15) – Total TC’s count = 50
• IPhone 6+ Safari = 50 (Admin – 13 (Priority TC’s), Role2 - 22, Role3- 15) – Total TC’s count = 50
• IPad Air+ Safari = 50 (Admin – 13 (Priority TC’s), Role2 - 22, Role3- 15) – Total TC’s count = 50
• Mac + Safari v9+ = 50 Admin – 13 (Priority TC’s), Role2 - 22, Role3- 15) – Total TC’s count = 50

Testing Approach:
• New functional TC’s development = 50.
• Breakdown of TC’s execution - Per Browser (Primary = 87 ; Secondary = 50 X 5 Browser combination ~ 250 TC’s)
• Estimated Functional TC’s for execution= 250 + 87 = 337
• Sanity testing will be performed after build is deployed in QA environment
• Cross browser functional testing will be performed with above mentioned OS + Browser combination
• 1 cycle of limited regression will be performed to test the impacted module on Primary browser covering 43 regression test cases.
• 1 cycle of testing for Defect retesting and impacted regression will be performed
Limited Regression Scope:
Impacted Regression will be performed covering below modules/tabs:
• Admin Module and maximum coverage based on user Role 2(Prod User)
Out of scope:
• Database/ETL testing
• Performance Testing
• Full Regression the Application
