PSSC Online Support Program: Grade: 4 Subject: Science Teacher: Fozia Saleem

The document provides information about the human lungs and the process of breathing from a 4th grade science unit on the human body. It explains that humans have two lungs located on either side of the heart in the ribcage. The lungs bring oxygen into the body from the air and remove carbon dioxide from the body by sending it back out through exhalation. When a person breathes in, air enters the nose and travels to the lungs where oxygen passes to the blood and carbon dioxide is collected from the blood to be breathed out.
