Simple Sentences
-Comprised of the simplest form of SVO/I
-Subject + Verb + Object/Idea
Eg:
1. I am a teacher.
2. She took a cab to the airport.
3. We are having pizza for dinner tonight.
Compound Sentences
Compound sentences have two or more independent clauses.
She tried to lift the suitcase. The suitcase was too heavy.
She tried to lift the suitcase, but it was too heavy.
