What if TECHNOLOGY didn`t exist??
• Live like your dying. Live like it`s your last day on earth. Help others without anything in
return(it feels good, swear!) Spend more time with your loved ones and most especially serve
God and do His will.
3. Does technology always lead us to the good life? How and why?
• Yes and No
YES because techonology helps us in many ways. It helps us in our chores. It helps us
connect to our families abroad. It made tasks easier for us.
NO because it also made us lazy. We became dependent on technology and worst we give
more time in using gadgets rather than the people around us.
Lesson 4
When Technology and Humanity Cross
1. What are the positive and negative effects of technology to society?
POSITIVE:
• Increased knowledge and understanding
• Improvements in industry and job
• Interconnection of the world as a result of globalization
• Communication
NEGATIVE:
• Less human interaction
• Degraded society`s moral and values
• Inability to do normal tasks
• Misuse of widely available information
2. Should there be an ethics of technology?
• YES. There should be ethics in technology for us to not misuse and abuse it.
3. Based on the movie" I, Robot" (2004) By Will Smith. Can you site
examples of ethicals dilemmas of the movie in terms of technology.
• Systems capable of being programmed to demolish a building at the appointed time, cars that
drive autonomously without human intervention or vehicles equipped with the ability to
collect the remains of a traffic accident. Robots don`t have emotions. They just do what they
are programmed for, not considering what is right or wrong.
