HISTORY OF NEPAL
• Nepal is a country of 1,47,181 sq.km .
• Total population is 28.98 million according to 2016 data.
• Partitioned into 3 regions- Terai district, Hilly area, Himalaya
locale.
• Has higher trade relations, mainly import, with India and
China.
• 94% of individuals are into agrobusiness.

• India is a country of 3,287,590 sq.km.
• Total population is 1.324 billion according to 2016.
• Asia’s second largest country after China.
• Has higher export trading with most of the countries.

From the above chart, we can conclude that Nepal imports more than it exports
to India. As the first bar represents, import was 207,134 and export was
49,616.30 which clearly shows that our country is moving towards deficit.
Likewise, in the last bar represents, import was 325,668.20 and export was
39,493.70. With the help of this above chart, we can note that import is high
and export is low, which is because of lack of resources, unskilled manpower and
also unadvanced technology in our country.

INDIA AND NEPAL
• Tariffs
• Excessive documents
• Import duties
• Foreign investments(direct) limitations
• Non-tariff barrier
CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT BETWEEN NEPAL
AND INDIA
• A business culture will envelop as association's
qualities, dreams, working style, convictions and
propensities
• Both the countries follow almost same culture. So,
cultural environment has been fruitful till date.
• Different variables which influences distinctive
social practices are dress, relationship building,
negotiation, gestures, meeting etc.
POLITICAL ENVIRONMENT BETWEEN
NEPAL AND INDIA
• Political instability is harming Nepal's battling
economy
• In September 2015, Nepal adopted another
constitution
• Due to GST, the export taxes are raised in Nepal.
ETHICAL ENVIRONMENT BETWEEN NEPAL AND
INDIA

• A code of ethics is a guide of standards intended to


enable experts to lead business genuinely and with
respectability
• Corruption and bribery
• Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a self-
regulating business model that aids a company be
socially accountable
CONCLUSION
• Relation between Nepal and India is from decades ago.
• Similar culture, tradition, ethics and politics.
• Treaty of trade and commerce was not in the favor of Nepal.
• Nepal is rich in mines, minerals and water resources.
• GST is also a reason for increase in trade deficit these
couple years.
RECOMMENDATION
• Can develop the industrial base
• Reduce trade barrier
• Provide professional training
• Enhance quality of goods
• Must attain political stability
• Should develop separate lab to test the quality of goods
