There are two common methods that an anti-
virus software application uses to detect
viruses. The first, and by far the most
common method of virus detection is using a
list of virus signature definitions. This works
by examining the content of the computer's
memory (its RAM, and boot sectors)
WHEN WAS ANTIVIRUS INVENTED?
 Inyear 1980, there was a trend of generation of
virus which was created with the limitation to self-
reproduction, and the code was written without
considering damaging anything. As, the large
practice associated with antivirus increased, the
need for the invention of antivirus increased a lot.
Then, the first documented removal of virus from
the computer was done by Bernd Fix in year of
1987. After this documented removal two
antivirus named G data and UVK2000 was
developed in year 1987.
