Master Data Creation:
Menu Path for Work Center Creation:
Logistics  Production  Master Data  Work Centers  Create
Transaction Code = CR01

Menu Path for Functional Location Creation:


Logistics  Plant Maintenance  Management of Tech Objects  Functional Location  Create
Transaction code = IL01

Menu Path for Equipment Creation:


Logistics  Plant Maintenance  Management of Tech Objects  Equipment  Create
Transaction Code = IE01

Transaction Code = IA01
Plant Maintenance –
Create Work Center
Master Data Creation:
Transaction code = CR01

Plant = 1000 (where this work center is located)


Work Center = Give work center name as needed

Work Center Category = select from the drop down, this is machine or labour etc

Press Enter and then add description of the work center

Basic Data Tab:

Fill up the fields as needed


Usage = if this is production then value is 009
while if it is maintenance then the default value is 004
see drop down list for other values as needed

As this is a machine then there are some setup time etc, you need to assign these under Standard Value Key, one Std Value
Key have upto six parameters. These can be like Setup, Machine, Labor etc.

Default Values Tab:

Control Key = PM01Plant Maintenance Internal


Different control keys have different settings which can be seen from F4

Other fields will depend on your particular situation as needed.

The units of Measurement of Standard Values


Will have the parameters as selected in Standard Value Key in Basic Data Tab.

Change the unit of times as needed, normally these should be in Hr.

Capacities Tab :
Under capacities you will see Setup, Machine Capacity and Labour

We can remove the ones not required, by just deleting them.


Under Machine Capacity, there are some formulas in Setup and Processing fields;
Place cursor on the field and click the FORM button below to show the detail of the formula.

Click on Capacity Header Data to fill up the values as need.

Costing Tab:

Cost Center: 4230 (you might have a cost center given to you from FICO)
The cost center will be setup by FICO

Activity Type = Setup / machine / Labour assigned to the cost center

There are various activity types assigned to activities like Setup Time, Machine Time, Labour Time
Basically the rate or cost per hour for Setup Time, Machine running time and labour time, these will be setup by product
costing.

So the expense from this Work Center will be assigned to the selected Cost Center. Cost Center is basically a cost
collector.
