While Working On SAP SD Pricing Attributes - What Is WRONG?

This document discusses pricing attributes in SAP SD and how incorrect combinations of pricing attributes can lead to defects after go-live or increased project costs. It explains that the combination of pricing procedure attributes and condition type attributes determines the impact, not just the definitions alone. The document provides examples of incorrect combinations that would cause problems in sales order processing or prevent values from being changed. It emphasizes that knowledge of how attribute combinations behave is crucial to avoid issues and save time and costs on SAP projects.

Background
Configuration of SAP SD pricing is
one of the most COMPLEX area in
SAP Projects.
It is important to know how the
pricing attributes combination
works else it takes lot of time for
consultant to arrive at the best
combination.
INCORRECT COMBINATION
results in defects after GO LIVE &
higher Project Cost.

3
Objective
 Consultants learn RIGHT USE of SAP SD pricing
configuration over a period of time depending on
the SAP Project exposure.

 The presentation aims to improve the knowledge of

the consultants to know the best combination of
pricing attributes & SAVE TIME on the project OR
reduce the possibility of the defects arising in later
phase of the SAP Projects.

 NO VALIDATION IS AVAILABLE IN SAP FOR

WRONG DESIGN OF PRICING ATTRIBUTES.

 The presentation FOCUS on improving the

knowledge of COMBINATION of pricing
attributes & NOT the literal meaning of the
definitions.
