INCIDENT COMMANDER
 Activate the Emergency Response Team,
 Activate additional response contractors and local
resources,
 Evaluate the Severity, Potential Impact, safety
Concerns, and Response Requirements based on
the initial information provided by the First person
On-Scene,
 Confirm safety aspects at site, including need for
personal protective equipment, sources of ignition,
and potential need for evacuation,
 Communicate and provide incident briefings,
appropriate,
 Coordinate/Complete additional internal and
external notifications,
 Communicate with Emergency Response Team, as
the situation demands, and
 Request medical assistance, if necessary.
SAFETY OFFICER
 The Safety Officer monitors safety conditions and
develops measures for assuring the safety of all
assigned personnel.

PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER


 The Public Information Officer (PIO or IO) serves as
the conduit for information to and from internal
and external stakeholders, including the media or
other organizations seeking information directly
from the incident or event. While less often
discussed, the Public Information Officer is also
responsible for ensuring that an incident's
command staff is kept apprised as to what is being
said or reported about an incident. This allows
public questions to be addressed, rumors to be
managed, and ensures that other such public
relations issues are not overlooked.
LIAISON OFFICER
 A Liaison serves as the primary contact for supporting
agencies assisting at an incident.

OPERATIONS SECTION CHIEF


 Tasked with directing all actions to meet the incident
objectives.

PLANNING SECTION CHIEF


 Tasked with the collection and display of incident
information, primarily consisting of the status of all resources
and overall status of the incident.

FINANCE/ADMINISTRATION SECTION CHIEF


 Tasked with tracking incident related costs, personnel
records, requisitions, and administrating procurement
contracts required by Logistics.

LOGISTICS SECTION CHIEF


 Tasked with providing all resources, services, and support
required by the incident.
7-MAN RESPONSE TEAM

HEALTH/FIRST AID TEAM


 Monitoring and maintaining first aid
equipment and facilities, and
 Provide immediate, lifesaving, medical
care before the arrival of further medical
help. This could include performing
procedures such as: Placing an
unconscious casualty into the recovery
position.
TRANSPORTATION TEAM
COMMUNICATION TEAM
 Facilitates organized and efficient
communication during and after an
emergency,
 Stipulates procedures for initiating the
communications role/team during a disaster
response,
 List local current contact information (phone,
cell phone, email, emergency contact),
 Determine the number of students, teachers
and staff; total number of students occupying
in each room, total number of students in
each floor, total number of students
occupying each building; and identify
students or teachers with special needs (sick,
old, disabled and their location).
RELIEF TEAM

EVACUATION TEAM
 Develop Evacuation Plan,
 Acquire the most recent school grounds
layout or plan/map,
 Determine the flow of traffic from each
room along the corridor,
 Indicate arrows, the flow of student
evacuation coming out each room up to
their designated evacuation site, and
 Orient all the teachers and the school
staff for the evacuation route.
FIRE SAFETY AND BUILDING INSPECTION
TEAM

 Conduct ocular inspection of the building,


 Identify safe and unsafe spots inside the
school grounds,
 Observe hazardous areas/practices within
the school, and
 Provide immediate firefighting operation,
if necessary.
SECURITY TEAM
 Ensure the safety of parents, students, and
teachers and staff.
 Respond to emergency situation and to
minimize the impact,
 Observe hazardous areas/practices within
the school,
 Activate fire alarm and contact fire station,
and
 Assist the evacuation of the premises,
including crowd control, and provide
direction to emergency personnel when they
arrive.
