Foodini (1) (Autosaved)

The document discusses a presentation about 3D food printers. It provides information on how 3D printing works, describing the design, printing, and finishing processes. It then discusses Natural Machines Inc, the creator of the Foodini 3D food printer. The Foodini allows users to print foods by first preparing ingredients and placing them in capsules, then following a selected recipe on the touchscreen to print the food.

3D Printing
• 3D printing refers to processes in which material is joined or solidified
under computer control to create a three-dimensional object, with material
being added together (such as liquid molecules or powder grains being fused
together).
How does 3D Printing Work ?

• The first step is the preparation just before printing, when you design a 3D file of the object
you want to print. This 3D file can be created using CAD software , with a 3D scanner or
simply downloaded from an online marketplace. Once you have checked that your 3D file is
ready to be printed
• The second step is the actual printing process. First, you need to choose which material will
best achieve the specific properties required for your object. The variety of materials used in 3D
printing is very broad. It includes plastics, ceramics.
• The third step is the finishing process. This step requires specific skills and materials. When the
object is first printed, often it cannot be directly used or delivered until it has been sanded,
lacquered or painted to complete it as intended.
Natural Machines Inc
• Natural Machines manufactures Foodini , a 3D food printer. The company
was founded in 2012 and is based in Barcelona, Spain.
• Natural Machines: Making 3D food printers + IoT appliances that use
REAL food. 30+ awards. VC backed. We are the makers of Foodini, a 3D
food printer + IoT (Internet of Things) new generation kitchen appliance
promoting cooking with fresh, real ingredients. Fundamentally, Foodini
contributes to a healthy eating lifestyle by helping people make fresh meals

Foodini- A 3D food Printer
Foodini
• A new generation kitchen appliance that combines technology, food,
art and design.
• Foodini helps create savory or sweet cuisine. The food is real food,
made from fresh ingredients prepared before printing. Promoting
cooking with fresh ingredients, Foodini manages the difficult and
time-consuming parts of food preparation that often discourage
people from creating homemade food.
How does Foodini work?
• Choose a recipe from the touchscreen or PC – or make your own. Foodini
then offers instructions for ingredients that should be prepared and placed in
its reusable capsules
• Ensure the food is of the right consistency such that it can be printed
