Mission Objectives

0.SCI.1- Measure gravity waves with vertical wavelengths of at least 5 km with density
amplitudes of at least 2% from 80-200 km between ~60-90 deg South near both solstices.

0.SCI.2- Measure thermospheric temperature from 150-300 km coincident in space and


time to 0.REQ.SCI.1

0.SCI.3- Measure variations in Earth's magnetic field at 500 km across -90 to 90 deg latitude
range (TBC)

0.SCI.4- Obtain atmospheric temperature profiles through limb-sounding of 762 nm O2 A-


band emissions

0.SCI.5- Characterize atomic oxygen a-band emission in the upper atmosphere through
nighttime temperature measurements
