1.4 Types of Computer

1. There are several types of computers: desktop/personal computers, laptop computers, tablet computers, and smartphones. 2. Desktop/personal computers are stationary devices that have separate components like a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. They can be used independently or connected to a network to share resources. 3. Laptop computers have all components integrated into a single portable device. They can also be used independently or connected to networks for sharing resources and internet access. 4. Tablet computers and smartphones have touchscreens and wireless connectivity. They run applications and access the internet via wireless networks or 3G/4G mobile data. Both are portable and allow users to access resources on the go.
