Manufacturing Sector
• The Manufacturing sector comprises establishments engaged
in the mechanical, physical, or chemical transformation of
materials, substances, or components into new products.

• Establishments in the Manufacturing sector are often


described as plants, factories, or mills and characteristically
use power-driven machines and materials-handling
equipment.
• Tata Iron and Steel Company was founded by Jamshedji
Tata and established by Dorabji Tata on 26 August 1907, as
part of his father Jamshedji's Tata Group.

• Tata Steel Limited formerly Tata Iron and Steel Company


Limited (TISCO) is an Indian multinational steel-making
company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, and
a subsidiary of the Tata Group.

• Tata Steel is currently the world’s second-most geographically
diversified steel producer. We are one of the few steel
operations that are fully integrated – from mining to the
manufacturing and marketing of finished products
