WHAT IS AEROGEL?
An aerogel is solid with air pockets
dispersed throughout. Aerogels
are essentially the solid
framework of a gel.
Carbon
• Carbon aerogels are composed of particles with sizes in the
nanometre range, covalently bonded together.
•They have very high porosity(over 50%, with diameter under100
• nm). Surface areas ranging between 400 to 1000 m²/g.

Aerogel is strong
• Aerogel is super
strong for its weight.
