It defines eight types of intelligence - linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, musical, naturalist, bodily kinesthetic, interpersonal, and intrapersonal. The document provides examples of activities teachers can use to engage students with different intelligences and assess their performance. Teaching in Multiple

Intelligence Classrooms

📖
Objectives
✘ To be able to define and understand Multiple Intelligence.
✘ To know what kind of different strategies and assessment tools to
use by the teacher for evaluating the performance of the students
by knowing the multiple intelligence.
✘ To be able to provide effective activities that can help the students.
Introduction

Multiple Intelligence represents different intellectual

abilities. There are different capabilities and learning styles
the students have. There are many researches exist about
(MI) and Howard Gardner confirmed the theory that there
are Multiple Intelligence (MI). This MI can help the
teachers to provide and plan an effective lessons for the
students.

The idea of learners having
multiple intelligences came from
the research of the famous
Harvard University professor
Howard Gardner.

In 1983, Gardner published his
book entitled Frames of Mind
that presented the concept of
multiple intelligences.
Linguistic Intelligence

Ability to analyze information and

create products involving oral and
written language.
Logical- Mathematical Intelligence

Ability to develop equations and

proofs, make calculations, and
solve abstract problems.
Spatial Intelligence

Ability to recognize and manipulate

large scale and fine-grained spatial
images.
Musical Intelligence

Ability to produce, remember, and

make meaning of different patterns
of sound.
Naturalist Intelligence

Ability to identify and distinguished

among different types of plants,
animals and weather formations
that are found in the natural world.
Bodily Kinesthetic

Ability to use one’s own body to

create products or solve problems.
Interpersonal Intelligence

Ability to recognize and understand

other people’s moods, desires,
motivations and intentions.
Intrapersonal Intelligence

Ability to recognize and understand

his or her own moods, desires,
motivations and intentions.
Multiple Intelligence (MI)
Theory became a powerful
force that pushed many
educators and school to
radically change the
educational system.
