Electroencephalography

The document describes the specifications and operation of an electroencephalography (EEG) machine, including that it has 32 channels to record brain wave activity from 0.05-70Hz, can view multiple montages, and troubleshoots issues like noisy recordings, spotty tracings, and connection problems. It also lists the members of Group 6 and explains how EEG works to detect and amplify brain waves using electrodes attached to the head.

SPECIFICATION
• Consists of 32 Channels digital EEG Machine, where 24 Channels for acquisition
and storage, 5 Polygraph Channels and 3 DC Channels
• Frequency response 0.05 Hz to 70 Hz
• Should have facility to view all channels in different montages during acquisition
and review
• Photic frequency 1-30 Hz, stimulating time 1-16 sec and pause time 1-16 sec
• CMMR should be greater than 100 dB and input impedance should be greater
than 10 M Ohm
• Operate from 200 to 240 Vac, 50 Hz input supply
• There is an EEG Disc Electrode that can be reused, EEG Paste, Head Cap for adult
and infant
How It Work

The billions of nerve cells in your brain produce very small electrical signals that
form patterns called brain waves. During an EEG, small electrodes and wires are
attached to your head. The electrodes detect your brain waves and the EEG
machine amplifies the signals and records them in a wave pattern on graph paper
or a computer screen.
There are several different ways to conduct an EEG:
• Standart EEG
• Ambulatory EEG
• Video EEG
