Solar Table Saw Machine

The document outlines a student project to design and demonstrate a solar-powered portable saw machine. A group of mechanical engineering students will convert solar energy to electrical energy using a solar panel and charge controller. A 12V DC motor will then convert the electrical energy to mechanical energy to power the saw blade. The project aims to effectively utilize solar energy for portable power and provide a sustainable alternative to traditional saw machines. The students' methodology outlines the materials that will be used, including the solar panel, motor, battery, and other machine components.

Historical Background: The problem of cutting-off material to

size is common to practically every industry. Often, sawing is the
first operation carried out on bar stock. Therefore, it is surprising
that so little work has been done to understand the problems of
this common operation.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

 Demonstration and working of “Solar powered

portable table Saw Machine” with the help of a 12V
battery, RS755 DC motor(12V) and 20W Solar Panel.

 To convert Solar energy to Electrical energy with the

help of a Solar panel and then to mechanical energy
by a DC Motor which cuts wood(20 mm thickness)
with the help of a saw blade.
