    NISHKAMA KARMA

    Nishkama Karma = Karma – Kamana (Expectations)

     Nishshkam Karma is a central theme in the Bhagavad Gita.


     Nishkama Karma are action performed without any expectation of fruits or results.
     Karma yoga is action performed with detachment.
     It means action performed without desiring or fearing the consequences.
     ‘ Don’t hanker after fruits’.
     Its fundamental premise is that one is entitled only to perform action, but not necessarily
    to fruits of those actions.
     Nishkama Karma approach prevents unethical action or motives on one hand and
    promote ethical on the other.

    Myths of Nishkama Karma

    • Nishkam Karma : Selfless act / desireless actions.


    • Nishkama Karma : do not worry only about results.
    • Sakam Karma : Selfish act.
    • It tells to give up actions (as renunciation is requisite of karma
    yoga practice.

    GEETA SHOLKA – ‘MA PHALESU KADACHANA’ : Does not mean that one
    should work without desire but it simply means that one should work without
    excessive attachment as it may lead to frustration if you fail to get it.

    GEETA doesn’t support anyode of life, such as pure Renunciation or pure


    action or pure deviation but it teaches a fusion & harmony between all the
    three modes of life and declares the best mode to b incessant righteous
    action.
    Today’s Business scenario

     Today’s Business is marked by intense competition to carve out a place for


    self at the cost of others.
     End has become most important, but the means to reach that end is
    secondary.
     Money has become all Important.
     All worldly comfort is available, but still ’much’ is missing. Man is not happy
    he’s is totally frustrated.
     Men can make hell of heaven and heaven of hell by the harmony of
    discord in himself, which he can successfully bring out by practising the
    principle of karma yoga.
