INTRODUCTION
• Automobile safety is the study and practice of designs,
construction, equipment and regulation to minimize the
occurrence of traffic collision. road traffic safety more broadly
includes roadway designs.
• However, automobile accidents have still been the leading
cause of injuries and death in most countries. car safety also
pertains to necessary car safety features this is incorporated in
our car to protect us and other passengers from injury and
death during a collision or crash.
• One of the frist format academic studies into improving
vehical safety was by cornall aeronautical laboratory of
Buffao.new york. the main conclusion of thir extensive report
is the crucial improtance of seat belts and padded dashboards
AIRBAGS

• The airbag specified for automobile use traces its origines to-filled
bladders early as 1941.
• Airbags is the safety systems that is used in automobile for the
purpose to provides the occupants a soft cushioning and restraints
during a crash events to prevents any impact or impact-caused
injuries between the flailing occupant and the interior of the vehical.
• The airbags provides an energy absorbing surface between the
vehical’s occupants and a steering wheel, instruments panel
COMPONENTS OF AIR BAGS
MULTIPLE AIRBAGS MOUDLE
• Modern vehicles may contain multiple airbag
modules in various configurations including;
• Driver airbag module
• Passenger airbag module
• side curtain airbag module
• seat-mounted side impact airbag module
• knee bolster airbags module
• inflatable seat-belt modules
• front right side airbags sensor
• front left side airbags sensor
SEAT BELTS

• Seat belts is a basic safety tool that is used for the safety purpose of
passenger inside the car or vehicale
• A seat belt functions to reduce the likelihood of death or serious injury
in a traffic collision by reduceing the force of secondary impacts.
• seat belts were invented by engish engineer George Cayley in the mid-
19th century, through Edward J.Claghorn of new york, was granted the
frist patent on february 10,1885 for a safety bet
ABS:-ANTI LOCK BREAKING
SYSTEM

• An anti-lock breaking system or anti-skid breaking system(ABS) is an

automobile safety system that allows the wheels on a motors vehicle to
maintain tractive contact with the road surface according to driver
inputs while breaking.
• This prevents the wheels from locking up (ceasing rotation) and
avoiding uncontrolled skidding.
BLIND SPOT DETECTOR
• The blind spot monitor is a vehical-based sensor device that detects
other vehicals located to the driver’s side and rear, warnings can be
visual,audibel,vibrating, or tactile.
• Good driver visibility is essential for safe road traffic.
• it is currently implemented in all new upcoming bikes.
ELECTRONICS STABILITY CONTROL
• ECS integrates anti lock breaking system and traction control system
.(TCS)
• A function the prevent skidding.
• If the vehical moves in a different direction under steering or over
steering ESC detects the situation and reacts accordingly.
CRUISE CONTROL

• Cruise control (sometimes knows as speed control or autocruise, or

tempomat in some countries)is a system that automatically controls
the speed of a motor vehicals. The system is a servomechanism that
takes over the throttle of the car to maintain a steady speed as set by
driver.
ADVANTAGES

• Reduces the probability of injury.

• They also reduces the risk that you or your passengers
will collide with parts of the car.
• Air bags has been designed safety which offer
convenience and full comfort to a passenger.
• Using the airbags is simple and this process is fast
and most compatible one for any problematic issue.
DISADVANTAGES

• The biggest negative to airbags is that, though they are designed to protect,
deploying airbags can actually injure passenger in some situation. The impact of
an airbag can hurt a passenger who is improperly positioned.
• Safety advocates recommend against individuals under 12 riding in a front seat
with airbags. Also, driver are cautioned against placing rear-facing infant seats in
the front seat with an airbag.
• For adults, sit at least 10 to 12 inches away from the airbag to minimize the
impact if it should be deployed. It’s very important to use a seat belts along with
airbags. This helps cut down on potential airbag injuries for both drivers and
passengers.
CONCLUSION

• Safety features in car are the most

important in today vehicales since
safety of drivers and passengers.
• Let’s hope every automobile
manufacture implements the
same
