• Lies in the center of the Philippines.
• The second smallest region in the
country.
GEOGRAPHIC PROFILE
• The regions total land area is about 62
percent hilly mountains and the 38
percent is land.
PEOPLE
• 5.7 million population
• Speak mainly Cebuano, Ilonggo and
Boholanon
• Majority understands Taglog and
English
• Some of them knows how to speak
Spanish.
POLITICAL
• Comprise of 4 provinces, 123
municipalities, 3002 baranggays and
5 chartered cities
BRIEF HISTORY
• It is the 10th largest island in the
Philippines.
BOHOL • It is known for coral reefs and
unusual geological formations.
• Bohol is "The Heart of Central
Visayas".
HOW TO GET THERE
They can ride AirAsia, Cebu Pacific and Philippine

Airlines from MNL - CEB or CRK - CEB. 1hr and 25 min.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
CHOCOLATE HILLS
- It was formed ages ago by the
uplift of coral deposits and the
action of rain water and erosion.
TARSIER
• The Tarsier Sanctuary is a large forest
dedicated to the protection of tarsiers,
small nocturnal primates with big,
round eyes that feed primarily on
insects.
HANGING BRIDGE
• It is a foot bridge composed of
bamboos and hardened steels.
• It which was initially used by locals to
cross the river going to the Barangay
on the other side of the main road.
• The Hanging Bridge hangs about 25
meters above the river.
PANGLAO ISLAND
• Island is located at the
Southwest of the island of Bohol
and east and South of Cebu.
• Panglao has a terrain that ranges
from plain, hilly to mountainous.
LOBOC RIVER
FLOATING RESTAURANT
• One of the cleanest rivers in the
country.
• The Loboc River Dinner Cruise
starts by the Loay Bridge.
• It is located in the neighbor town
of Loay or at the Loboc town
proper where you can choose from
a variety of river cruising vessels

• Treaty of Friendship between
Datu Sikatuna, a chieftain in
Bohol, and Spanish conquistador
Miguel López de Legazpi, which
was sealed through a blood
compact
HINAGDANAN CAVE
• The Hinagdanan Cave, meaning
“Laddered” in Cebuano, is one of the
many wondrous caves in the island
province of Bohol.
• The cave was accidentally discovered by
a farmer
HOW TO GET THERE
• Tagbilaran (Bohol’s capital), going there
is easy. In my estimation, you can reach
the cave in around five to ten minutes. If
you’re commuting, you can get there by a
tricycle or a rented motorcycle.

• First Spanish settlement
and the oldest city in the

CEBU
Philippines.
• 5.7 million population
• The second Most
Populated Province in the
Philippines
• Size: 4,933 km²
HOW TO GET THERE
From NAIA terminal airport to Mactan terminal airport
in takes 1 hour and 15 minutes.

From the Port of Manila to the Port of Cebu it is around


770 kilometers (481 miles) and the journey by ferry is
going to take about 22 hours.
TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
BODBOD FESTIVAL
• The town of Catmon is famous for its tasty
“bodbod”,
• The festival celebrated every 10th of
February.
• It is participated by the different barangays
has its dance movements, the movement of
making the bodbod with the costumes in
bodbod concept.
FORT SAN PEDRO
• A military defence structure in Cebu.
• It was built by the Spaniards under the
command of Miguel Lopez de
Legazpi.
• The original fort built right after the
arrival of Legaspi and his expedition
was made of wood. It was then
replaced in the 17th century with a
stone fort to repel Muslim raiders.
SIMALA CHURCH
The Monastery of the Holy
Eucharist, popularly known as
the Simala Shrine or Simala
Church is located in Marian
Hills, Lindogon, Simala,
Sibonga, Cebu. It was built in
1998 by the Marian Monks from
Pampanga.
It is the famous “Sirao Flower Farm”
located in a mountain barangay just few
minutes from JY, Lahug, Cebu City.
The 10,000 Roses Cafe
• It is a tourist attraction and
cafe located in Cordova,
Cebu.
• It features two patches of
artificial LED roses that light
up from dusk till night. Most
visitors go for
the “instragrammable” appea
l to it.
KAWASAN FALLS
One of the most famous
waterfalls in the
Philippines, especially in
Cebu along with Tumalog
Falls.

●The Basilica Minore Del Sto.Nino or the Minor Basilica of
the Holy Child is a Minor Basilica located in Cebu City
●Oldest Roman Catholic Church in the Philippine
●Founded by the Spaniards headed by Fr.Andres de
Urdaneta in April 28, 1565

• Lake Balinsasayao and Lake Danao are two


of the major tourist destinations in Negros
Oriental.
• Both are crater lakes separated by a narrow
mountain ridge. The best things to do here
are swimming, trekking, day
camping and paddle boating.
MOUNT KANLAON
Canlaon City, Negros Oriental

• One of the highest active


stratovolcano in Negros
Oriental
• It is one of the best destination
among experienced mountain
climbers.
MABINAY CAVES
Mabinay, Negros Oriental
• It is a famous spelunking and
caving destination in the
province.
• It is called as the “Cave Town of
Negros Oriental“
• Mabinay Cave is one of the

DID YOU KNOW?
The province of Negros Oriental was originally called
as “Buglas”. Its name was changed by the Spaniards who
colonized the country. Referring to the dark-skinned natives
that lived on the island, the Spaniards changed its name to
Negros.
BRIEF HISTORY
• Population: 81,598 Siquijodnons
• Climate: Siquijor has a dry season from
around December to May, while the other
half of the year is markedly more humid.
SIQUIJOR Annual rainfall is 1,305 millimeters, with
mean temperature of 27.8 degrees C and
humidity of 78%.
• Area: Coastal circumference of Siquijor is
102 km, and total land mass is 343.5
square km
 Known as “Isla Del Fuego” or isla of fire.

• It is a marriage ritual
where both parents of the
married partners are
presented with a feast and
lectures about the realities
and hardships of their
married life.

- The church is a well-know
landmark as it welcomes
everyone in the island.

This pastry has its local name derived from
Spanish term for cake. This small but filling little
cake is good enough to make you full and
energized for a quick breakfast.

Their produce are simple but cheese-


filled, meat-filled and rolled breads. Best paired
with hot chocolate (sikwate) or coffee.

This small province is also known for
locally-farmed products such as peanuts.

This viand medley is a common staple in


Visayan households, where they prepare their
fresh catch in sugba(grilled), tula (soup),
and kilawin (ceviche) ways of cooking.

Siquijor holds a “Healing Festival” once a year.
This is a great time to visit and witness faith healers as
they heal different illnesses with nothing but prayers
