Plans

A plan is a configuration containing a set of modifications for the actual configuration.

Plan contains only modifications and it can be viewed on top of the actual configuration.

Plan can include the following types of modifications:

1 ) Add new managed objects with mandatory parameters (create operation).
2 ) Remove an existing managed object (delete operation).
3 ) Modify parameters (including administrative state) of an existing managed object in a certain
configuration (update operation). The distinguished name or version cannot be modified using a
plan. Modifying parameters of some future version of managed object in target configuration is
not possible.
There can be four possible kind of plans differ from each other by the purpose for what
they were created.

1) General plans - these are the standard plans created by the user.
2) Backup plans - these plans are created by the system, for example, they are generated
during the provisioning because of the safety reasons.
3) Temporary plans - these plans are related to different kind of operations.
4) Exception plans - these plans are related to the Policy Based Compare feature, for
example, checking the actual configuration against templates and creating corrective
delta plans. Exception plans also defines objects with exceptions to template
parameters (differences that should be kept unchanged).
QuadGen Wireless Solutions Inc., Proprietary
For creating a Plan:
Three areas need to be configured when creating a plan:

– Radio Network Parameters (RNW)

– Site Configuration Parameters (HW)

– LTE BTS Transport Parameters (FTM)

i(ncoming).

Carrier Aggregation
There are two MO that need to be created under LNCEL for configuring CA – CAPR and CAREL
along with activation flag “actDLCAggr”

1) CAPR – will define the frequency of the target scell candidate along with a3 and a6 report
triggers and values. We need to define multiple CAPR MOs depending on number of scell
candidate frequencies that are needed on a site.

2) CAREL - this defines the actual sector that is mapped as an scell. We need to define
multiple CAREL MOs depending on number of scell candidate frequencies that are needed
on a site.

For Example if a 4-carrier site – each carrier has 3 CAPR and 3 CAREL defined meaning

scell candidates towards 3 other carriers.

Power Setting
Power settings in Nokia is less
complicated than ALU. It is similar to E//
setup where all sub channel power
components are internally mapped by the
system.

pmax based on cell BW has a specific RS
