CYLINDER HEAD

Sits above the cylinder block and it


closes in the top of the cylinder, forming
the combustion chamber.
Rocker Cover, Cylinder head Cover, Valve Cover
Rocker covers are covers that are bolted on
over rocker arms in an internal combustion
engine.
DISTRIBUTOR ASSEMBLY
Is a device in the ignition system of an internal
combustion engine that
distributes high voltage from
the ignition coil to the spark
plugs in the correct
firing order.
ROCKER ARM
Is an oscillating lever
that conveys radial
movement from the cam
lobe into linear
movement at
the poppet valve to
open it.
PUSH ROD
A pushrod is
basically a metal
tube designed to
transfer the
reciprocating motion
of a valve lifter,
riding on the
camshaft, to the
valve.
CONTACT POINT
It simply making
and braking the
primary circuit of
the ignition
system to create
a high voltage.
WATER PUMP
Is an important part of
an IC engine. It is the
part that continually
pumps coolant to a
vehicle's engine so
that it doesn't
overheat.
VALVE

The intake valves

THERMOSTAT
The primary function of
a thermostat is to
maintain a minimum
operating temperature in
an engine. When the
coolant temperature
reaches the specified
opening point of
the thermostat, it opens.
PISTON
A piston is a component of reciprocating engines, reciprocating pumps, gas compressors and pneumatic cylinders, among
other similar mechanisms. It is the moving component that is contained by a cylinder and is made gas-tight by piston rings.
In an engine, its purpose is to transfer force from expanding gas in the cylinder to the crankshaft via a piston rod and
/or connecting rod.
CRANKSHAFT
The crankshaft takes
the piston from an up
and down motion and
changes it to a rotating
motion.
BELTS
It serves as a linkage
from the crankshaft to
the alternator and fan
pulley to drive them to
rotate.
FAN
It draws the air to flow through the radiator fins to cool the coolant inside the radiator.
INTAKE MANIFOLD
It serves as a passage
of the intake air and
fuel mixtures and it
provides a mounting
for the carburetor
EXHAUST MANIFOLD
It serves as a
passage of the
burn gases and it
serves also as a
mounting for
exhaust pipe.
CARBURETOR
It regulates the flow
of fuel inside the
combustion chamber
and responsible for
controlling the air
and fuel mixture how
lean or how rich the
mixture is.
CAMSHAFT
Camshaft is an engine
components that open
and closed the intake
and exhaust valve.
It also controls how long
it open the valves and
remain it close.
VALVE SPRING
Its duty is to keep
the valves tightly
closed so that no
leakage can occur
after the intake
and exhaust cycle
DISTRIBUTOR CAP
It covers and protect the
distributor rotor,
contact point and other
mechanical parts of the
distributor from dust
and any foreign objects .
HIGH TENSION WIRE
A high voltage
resistance wire that
prevent the leakage of
voltage produces by
the ignition coil
secondary winding.
SPARK PLUG
A device fit in each
cylinder of an
internal combustion
engine to produce the
electric spark
for igniting the air
and fuel mixture.
OIL PUMP
It draws the oil from
the sump and pump
it to the oil galleries
to lubricate the
moving parts of the
engine.
OIL PAN
It serves as an oil
reservoir
OIL PAN GASKET
It seals the gap
between the engine
block and oil pan to
prevent the oil to
leak.
CYLINDER HEAD GASKET
It seals the gap between
the engine block and
cylinder head that has a
warpage which can be
filled up by the gasket to
avoid loss compression
in each cylinders.
FUEL PUMP
It supplies a fuel to the
carburetor.
RADIATOR

Is a heat exchangers
used for cooling
down an internal
combustion engines
