Good morning everybody!

My name is Mark Anthony Fernandez. I am an accredited


competency assessor for Computer Systems Servicing NC II.
(If you can see, I have an ID that i am certified Assessor.
I would like to acknowledge the presence of the Dr. Hector
Caluya our Assessment Center Manager of Quirino State
University and Dr. Dominador Alan Representative from the
Tesda.

You do not have to worry about their presence, They are here
to oversee the conduct of competency assessment and
to check if the conduct is in accordance with the prescribed
competency assessment methodology and procedures. They
will not assess you.
Before I start, let me first check the attendance sheet whether
write your name and you have signed.
Please present to me your admission slip with affixed signature when
I call your name.
I have here with me your accomplished self assessment guide.
This is an indication that you know and can perform all the units of
competency enumerated in this qualification
Today, I am going to administer competency assessment for
Computer Systems Servicing NC II, It is the Qualification level
with core competencies namely:
1. Install and configure computer system
2. Set-up Computer Networks
3. Set-up Computer Servers
4. Maintain and Repair Computer Systems and Networks
I would like to welcome all of you to our Administer Competency for Computer Systems
Servicing NC II, this assessment is to meet the level of your competence in order to qualify a
National Certification.
For the CORE COMPETENCIES we have 4 Unit of Competency :
1. Install and configure computer system
2. Set-up Computer Networks
3. Set-up Computer Servers
4. Maintain and Repair Computer Systems and Networks
During the demonstration in installing peripheral/devices such as printers you will be
ask several questions to help measure your underpinning knowledge and skills. All
the evidence such as observation, oral and written questions will be collected and
recorded for the basis of your competency.
Assessment processes

The comfort room is located inside the assessment area at the right corner of the
room. If you want to take your snacks or meal, we have a canteen outside the
assessment center.
However, during the assessment, you are not allowed to leave the premises of the assessment
center.
If you have any difficulty in understanding the given instruction please don’t
hesitate to call my attention because I am willing to explain and translate it for
you

I will assign numbers based on your attendance sheet. I will be assigning 2


candidates on each unit of competency.
For those who are not called please stay outside and keep silent so others
won’t disturb while performing.
Mr. Jesrael and Ms. April this is you assessment area , where you are going to
perform the Installation of a peripheral/device such as printer. The task is how
you will install a printer in your computer. During your task I will ask some
questions.
While performing your competency you will encounter some problems therefor,
each candidate needs to troubleshoot the problems while performing your unit
of competency in order to perform the Unit of competency for Maintain and
Repair Computer Systems and Networks
1. Using the materials, tools and equipment, you are required to
perform the tasks within 20 minutes. I will be observing and asking
while you are performing the tasks.
2. After your demonstration, I will ask you several questions related
to your demonstration.
3. You may call me when there is need to translate or explain items
for clarification.
4. After the questioning portion, I will give you feedback about
your performance.
5. Any questions/clarifications? If there are no more questions, you
may start now and good luck.

Kindly observed the proper handling of tools, materials and equipment and the
use of PPE. Any unwanted events and condition please don’t hesitate to inform
me or the support personnel to give any assistance regarding safety measures.
Stop performing whenever there’s an incident occurs.

Ms. April, you were able to answer all oral questions correctly, that includes
your written test result but there are areas of improvement such as
installing other drivers versions. Congratulations! You are now certified
network/computer technician. Please sign the CARS. And your Rating Sheet.
You may claim your National Certificate at Tesda Provincial Office after 3-5
working days. Don’t forget to bring your CARS, Passport size ID(white b/g),
and Payment for the Certificate. Thank you!

Mr. Jesrael, I am sorry you were not able to perform the installation of
peripherals within the standard requirements. But you are competent in other
tasks. You have to review/ practice the activities related to the competency
requirements of the Qualification.
You come when you feel confident enough that you have acquired the
competency. Don’t worry you will only be reassessed on the part of the activity
that you were found to be not yet competent.
Please sign this CARS and Rating sheets, If you are not satisfied with the result of
the assessment you may file an appeal to the TESDA provincial office, where
your Assessor and Center are accredited. Do you have any questions or
