 Expected Outcome
Introduction
 First introduced in the late 1950’s

 control flight inventory, maintain flight


schedules, seat assignments and aircraft
loading.

 The software has two parts, first is user part


and the administrator part. User part is used
as front end and administrator is the
backend.
 The system allows airline passengers to search for
flights that are available between the two travel
cities, namely the “Departure City” and “Arrival
City” .

 After search the system display list of available


flights and its details and allows customer to
choose a particular flight.

 After providing all the personal details, customers


can now book flights of their choice.

 They can also cancel the reservation if they want.


Problem Statement
 In the manual system, the daily reservation list for all
flights is generated and sent.

 Only few bookings could be made due to manual


operation.

 It takes enormous amount of time for recording


transactions.

 Requires a large amount of manual laborers.

 Customers should go to ticket offices to reserve a ticket and


cancel it.
Objectives

GENERAL OBJECTIVES :

 to help the customers in reserving and


cancelling air tickets online

 to speed up the transactions in comparison to


manual systems.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

 To create distributed system that will be used by


customers.

 To ensure that the ticket reservation is easy and


user friendly for customers.

 To reduce the work load of the ticket officers.

 To reduce the chance of errors.

 To minimize the processing time.
