SATELLITE PROGRAM
• Partnership with community colleges in rural areas to
design a pathway for people to:
• Earn a Bachelor’s of Science degree in
Elementary Education
• Opportunity for 2nd BS Degree for those who have
completed a bachelors degree in another area.
• Earn a teaching license
• Earn the degree with a minor (i.e. Early
Childhood Development)
LEARNING IN HOME COMMUNITY
• Designed as a part-time process for working students
• Most classes taught at Klamath Community College
(evenings or online)
• Additional upper division SOU classes
• Online
• Hybrid – online and one Saturday a month in
Medford
PART-TIME DESIGN
• Overall – five year plan
• Two years completing the AAS degree through Klamath
Community College
• Year Three – SOU Transfer student
• Upper Division education courses
• Practicum
• Year Four – SOU Licensure or Degree-only
• Upper Division education courses
