and reporter
3.They will create their cheer
that they will use when they
finished the task.
Marble 4.They will be given a board
Drop maze where they will drop
the marble and they will be
given ten trials.
5.There are seven possible
values the marble will drop
to.
6.The assigned secretary will
record the data obtained.
Marble 7.They will be given 10
Drop minutes to finish the activity.
8.One representative from
their group will discuss and
present the data they
obtained.
9.They will be graded base
on the scoring rubrics.
Marble Guide Questions:
Drop 1.From the data gathered,
find the average.
2.Arrange your data from
a.Least to greatest
b.Greatest to least

DATA
MEAN  Is a number that
represents the “average” of
a set of data.
 Sum of all the values or
data divided by the number
of values in the data.
MEAN  Denoted by x .
 Formula

x
 x
n
Where

x = sum of all data
 n = number of data
Lets Example 1:
Solve! Mer - Nel’s Cake Shop
manager wants to know the
daily average sales of cakes.
The following data are their
sales for the past six days.
Lets
Solve!
Lets Table 2 Sales of Mer-Nel's Cake Shop

2 8600
3 6500
4 4300
5 12500
6 13400
TOTAL 51,100
MEDIAN  Middle or central value. The
data must be arranged
numerically.
~
 Denoted by x
 If the number of
observation is odd, the
median is the middle value
on the data observed.
MEDIAN  If the data is even,
ascending or descending,
add the 2 middle value
then divide it by 2.
Lets Example 2:
Solve! The Lapitan family is
composed of seven members
and their ages are 13, 21, 25
54, 23, 50, and 24. What is
the age of the middle
member of their family?
Lets Example 3:
Solve! Mr. Lapitan observes the
growth of a mango plant. He
records the data of the
height of the plant per week
and observed it for eight
weeks. Find the median.

MODE  The most frequently
occurring score or value in
the set of data.
 Denoted by x̂
 If no value occurs more
than once, then the data
has no mode.
MODE  Different Types of Mode:
 1.Unimodal – when the
distribution has only one
mode.
 2.Bimodal – when the
distribution has two modes.
 3.Trimodal – when it has
three modes.
 4.Multimodal – has more
MODE  3.Trimodal – when it has
three modes.
 4.Multimodal – has more
than three modes.
Lets Example 4:
Solve! Scottie Thompson of
Barangay Ginebra’s scores
on their past 10 games.
What is/are the most
