ROLE OF SOLAR FARM IN POWER

FACTOR IMPROVEMENT OF GRID

CONNECTED SYSTEM
Index:-
• Introduction.
• Self declaration.
• How it works?
• Advantages.
• Disadvantages.
• Refrences.
What is solar farm?
• A large no of solar panels are installed in order
to generate electricity.

• Solar panel is a device which is used to

convert light energy to electric energy,

There are two main type of solar
power system.
On-grid - also known as a grid-tied
or grid-connected solar system
Off-grid - also known as a stand-
alone power system (SAPS)
Grid connected system.
• On grid system is mostly used by people.

• These systems are connected to the public

electricity grid and do not require battery
storage.
Working
Solar panel produce dc voltage, For our use we have to
convert it in AC voltage(220-240v)

Your house is connected to grid with meter,

If you produce excess energy or energy remains left
after use, you can sell it to the nearest grid.

If your solar energy fails or unable to produce sufficient

energy grid will provide you extra energy.
How it works?
Advantages
• Constant Reliable Power:-

• Grid connected system provides you always

power supply even solar energy fails or is
insuffiecient due to connection of your home
electricity to the nearest grid.
• Financial Benefits:-

• In on grid system you can sell excess energy

back to the nearest grid and cash it out at the
end of the year.
• In grid connected system. There is no need to
buy expensive battery.
Disadvantage
• Installation cost is much high.

• It is like paying your electricity bill, years in

advance.

• The permits and legal requirements for

installing grid connected systems can be
costly, complex and time-consuming
Conclusion
• We should use grid connected system, because
in grid connected system you can sell excess
energy.
• We don’t need to buy battery.
