Company profile
• Then flow enter into the low and high shift converter and then CO2
removal section by MDEA component.
• After removal CO2, flow go to the methanator for convert CO to
CO2 and this CO2 line reached to the urea section.
• In ammonia reactor, there are no of tubes to recycle the flow for
higher conversion.
• At the end of the process 98% conversion can get by industry.

Properties of Urea:
• Urea is a white crystaline, odorless and hygroscopic substance
generally produced in the form of prills. It is a diamide of carbonic
acid which sublimes at around 120-130°C and decomposes to NHs
and CO, at around 160-190°C.
• Molecular Weight: 60.05 Kg/Kmole
• Avg. Nitrogen : 46.4 %
• Melting Point: 132.7°c
• Boiling Point: Decomposes before boiling at atmospheric pressure
• Specific Gravity: 1.330 at 25°C, 1.225 at 132.7°C.
• Viscosity (at 132.70°C): 2.58 cp

Application of Urea:
1. Fertilizer Grade:
• The principal field of application of Urea is for agriculture purpose
as a of prills Nitrogenous fertilizer grade Urea is generally marketed
in the forms due to its free flowing characteristics. A certain quality
of urea is also used for making fertilizer like NP or NPK of different
grades.
2. Feed Grade:
• Apart from its use as a nitrogenous fertilizer urea is also used for the
purpose of animal feed as a protein supplement in some of the
advance countries.

Application of Urea:
3. Technical Grade: Another important application of urea is for the
manufacture of thermosetting resins, the most important among
which are urea formaldehyde, urea melamine etc. Further is also
used for manufacture of several other chemicals and
pharmaceuticals etc.
