Architectural Design Theory: Semester I

This document summarizes the first lecture of an Architectural Design Theory course. It introduces the course contents which will cover basic design elements, principles, objectives, composition typologies and morphology. The intention is to introduce art and design concepts to augment linear scientific thinking with creative multi-faceted thinking, and to establish a foundation for understanding architectural design by initiating theoretical design thinking. Studying this course will help build idea generation and creativity skills necessary for design.
