Analogies

Analogies test your ability to recognize relationships between word pairs and select answer choices that display equal relationships. To complete an analogy, you must identify the relationship between the first pair of words and choose the answer with a similar relationship expressed in a comparable way. Common analogy types include synonyms/antonyms, part to whole, function/use, category/type, degree, and cause-effect. It is important to pay attention to word order and parts of speech when solving analogies.
