Introduction
To improve student
understanding of difficult or
subtle concepts, we are
developing a flexible
hardware/software
presentation system that
optimizes student focus in
the classroom, and couples
the presentation of
concepts with immediate
student interaction and
feedback.
How it works?
In the classroom, an IT-Board is mounted in the front
wall and individual seat of students is equipped with a
wireless pad. Combining the IT-Board and wireless pad,
teachers can easily use their designed materials and
arouse students’ interests of learning. Meantime,
teachers can move and operate the whiteboard by using
the wireless pad instead of sticking in front of the
whiteboard. Students can also give their response
immediately by using their wireless pads. Accordingly,
the practical interactive education can be achieved by
using these technologies.
Interactive Devices can be used
for:

 Basic multiple choice

 Polling options
 Text and numeric responses
 Solve puzzles
 Solve learning problems
 Demonstrate their knowledge through a test
 Export an analysis of the student performance for
subsequent review.
Enrich your classroom

Teachers are able

to bring multimedia
materials (picture,
music, film, internet
information etc.)
into the classroom
which is equipped
with an IT-Board.
Verdict Plus
Verdict Plus is an interactive classroom voting
system that enables you to immediately test or
gauge students’ responses to questions using a
variety of formats. The system provides direct
wireless connection between you and your
students via a radio frequency (RF) remote
student handset and a central receiver, complete
with Hitachi’s Starboard white boarding software
and Cens-us assessment software.
The i-classroom
Solution equips the
schools with an
Interactive White Board
which can be used by
the teacher to
communicate with her
class using both visual
association and text
instruction, enabling a
more in-depth
understanding of the
topic.
Important Features:
A summary of the features that are important in the
educational environment is as follows:

 Real-time hand-drawn annotation capability

 Real-time conferencing for interactive learning and
distance teaching
 Network audio (VOIP)
 Ability to send pages or documents to private
windows for individual annotation
 Low maintenance costs for server (outsourced or
local)
Modes of operations:
There are other modes
for using the
FarSightNet software.
For example, a small
conference can be set
up to provide "Virtual
Office Hours", at any
time convenient to the
instructor and students.
Finally, the system can be used by a group of
students, even without an instructor.
The Stand-Alone Presentation
System:
The figure below shows schematically a simple system
suitable for lecturing to a class of up to 25-30 students.
A single tablet computer and a projector are used as the
primary presentation tool. Only 8 students are indicated
for clarity.
Advantages:
 Instructors can use high-resolution imagery of a slide show
where needed.
 Instructors can still do "blackboard exposition" (teacher
draws on tablet)
 Instructors can easily incorporate material commonly
available in electronic form (e.g. CD's)
 Students find it easier to see the screen images than either
blackboard or whiteboard images
 Lecture materials are reusable from year to year
Conclusion
The system provides direct wireless connection between
you and your students via a radio frequency (RF). Visual
inputs complement the teacher’s instruction and guidance
making the class more lively and interactive thereby
improving the students grasp of the subject being taught.
