This document discusses a study on the effects of using a biometric database attendance system on student attendance at a Montessori high school from 2018-2019. It presents demographic data showing most respondents were Grade 11 males. Attendance was higher after implementing the biometric system as measured over 8 days. Statistical analysis found a significant difference between attendance before and after using biometrics. The study concluded biometrics improved attendance tracking and reduced tardiness. It recommends continued biometric use, parental encouragement of timeliness, and future research.

THE EFFECTS OF BIOMETRICS
DATABASE ATTENDANCE SYSTEM TO
THE SENIOR HIGHSCHOOL STUDENTS’ ATTENDANCE OF SOUTHERNSIDE MONTESSORI SCHOOL S.Y 2018 - 2019 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
1.What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of:
Grade Level Sex 2. What is the attendance before using biometrics database system? 3. What is the attendance after using biometrics database system? 4. Is there a significant difference between using Biometrics database system to the attendance of senior high school students? Chapter 4
Presentation, Analysis and Interpretation of Data
This Chapter presents the presentation, analysis, and interpretation of data
gathered through biometrics which the researchers prepared. It deals with
answering the research questions through tables, figures, and computations.

Summary of Findings, Conclusions and Recommendations
This chapter presents the Summary of Findings, Conclusions derived from
the findings and the recommendations suggested by the researcher.
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS Attendance (Before Biometrics)
1. The Respondents of the study were
Grade 11 = 82(56%) , Grade 12 = 64(44%) Out of 230 respondents, 74(51%) Male and 72(49%) Female. 2. The attendance before using Biometrics shows a high amount on the present and low amount on the late. 3. The attendance after using Biometrics shows a significant change in the present, showing the lesser amount than late shows a high amount on the table. 4. In comparing the results from the two attendance system, with a value of -30.53 the decision will be, reject the null hypothesis. There is a significant difference between using Biometrics database to the attendance of senior high school students. CONCLUSIONS
There are more Grade11 than the Grade 12
The researchers conclude that not all sections from senior high school students record the “late” students and list it as “present”. There is a significant difference in using biometric attendance system to the attendance of senior high school students. Recommendations 1. The researchers recommend to the teachers to make use of biometrics as the students’ attendance system and explain to their students the consequences of their late. It can make a difference in saving time and made the job easy. 2. For the parents, the researchers recommend encouraging their children to sleep and wake up early to attend their schedules in school at the right time to avoid any missed subjects. 3. For the future researchers, this could be used as a basis for the researchers about the effects of using biometrics as the attendance system.
