older than Mr B. Now, Mr A is twice old as his daughter Sara. If Sara is
as old as Mr B. How old is Mr B 35 years younger than his father,

Simple Ratios
Boys to Girls ratio in a school is 4 : 3. If 120 boys removed from the school

Note: From ratios, we cannot determine

Ratios doesn’t give numbers. It just give 4x – 120 3x + 150
the proportion of a variable (e.g. boys)
with respect to the other variable (e.g. 4x – 120 = 3x + 150
girls) x = 270

Compound ratio involves more than two variables. For instance, let's suppose Boys to Girls ratio in a
school is 4 : 3, and Staff to Girls ratio in that school is 2 : 9. Let's learn how to find compound ratio of
these three variable.
