Common activities done on the Control-M/Desktop application:

Loading jobs into the workspace
• Open Control M Desktop(Either click the desktop icon in Citrix or Open from Control-M Enterprise Manager.(Control-M
Enterprise Manager->Tools->Control-M desktop))

Loading jobs:
• Please take not to select the parent node that says hpdev_server. This would ensure that all the jobs in the table are
loaded to your workspace.
• When writing back the data into the table, all the contents in the workspace will be updated to the table. So it is very
important to make sure that, all the jobs in the table are selected while loading the table.
• If you need to load multiple tables, then type in the names separated by comma.

Creating Control M Jobs
• After that we need to write the jobs to Control M Job table. Go to file-> Write to control M Jobs.
• Then order the jobs. Double click on the job and click on save and order.

Writing Jobs into the Table
• All the jobs loaded into the workspace will be over written to the table.
• To write the jobs back to the table, right click on the table name and select the option Write. This will save all the job
information to the table.
• Upload the changes, so that the changes are visible in the Control-M/EM.Right click on the table name and select the
option Upload.
• Once all the changes are uploaded please take note to Unlock the table.
