INTERLANGUAGE is
introduced by the American
linguist, LARRY SELINKER
INTERLANGUAGE
This term refers to the linguistic system
evidenced when an adult second language
learner attempts to express meanings in the
language being learned.
Selinker(1972) coined the term
interlanguage to refer to the
systematic knowledge of an L2 which
is independent of both these
learners L1 and the target language.
