Communicative Language Teaching

This document discusses Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), an approach to teaching second languages that emphasizes interaction and communication as both the means and goal of instruction. CLT focuses on teaching functional language skills that learners can use in real-world situations rather than just grammatical rules. It aims to make learning more relevant to learners' needs and interests. CLT involves teachers acting as facilitators and learners sharing experiences to develop their language abilities through meaningful tasks and interactions using the target language. The goal of CLT is for learners to gain the ability to communicate effectively in the language they are studying.
