Vijaynagar State, known as Pol State before 1934 it was a princely state under
the Mahi Kantha Agency, Bombay Presidency in NE Gujarat during the
British Raj.The capital of the state was in Vijaynagar taluk, Sabarkantha district.
The state's last ruler signed the accession to the Indian Union on 10 June 1948.

History:- Pol state was founded in 1577. Between 1864 and 1877 it was renamed
Vijayanagar after its new capital. Vijaynagar State was ruled by
Rajputs belonging to the Rathore dynasty.The rulers of the state bore the title
'Rao'.

Objectives of the Institution:

1. To create all possible facilities for developing higher

education.
2. Through the planning of varied educational and co-
educational activities to help the trainees to develop their
personalities.
3. Keeping the efficiencies and limits of the college in mind to
help the trainees to excel in their educational career.
4. To take necessary steps to spread the qualitative education.
5. To encourage women education among the tribal societies.
6. To help the economically constrained trainees to receive
higher education and to get placement.
 Our college is situated in hilly Rural and
Tribal area with fewer resources, but we have
taken up the challenge of providing the
qualitative education.

We have been on this challenging mission

since 2006 and we have a sense of satisfaction
as we look back.
Almost 80% of the total population of
Vijaynagar Taluka is ST (Tribal). SC and OBCs
also form a considerable majority in the non-tribal
population of the region.

We feel proud of providing most possible

modern educational opportunities to the most
weaker sections of our society in such industrially
and economically backward area.
