Computer System

A computer performs four basic operations: input, processing, output, and storage. It consists of both hardware and software components. When a key is pressed on a keyboard, the keyboard generates a scan code that is sent to the system unit. The system unit converts the scan code to a binary code and stores it in memory for processing before outputting the character on the screen.
