Self-And Collaborative Learning

At the end of the block, students are expected to understand self-learning, which is learning on one's own, and collaborative learning, which is working with others. Some benefits of collaborative learning are that it saves time through efficient sharing of information, develops communication skills, and makes learning fun. Both learning approaches have advantages, though self-learning risks boredom while collaborative learning supports learning from peers.

2. name some point to remember when we set up a learning
group,
3. name some principles to follow in a learning-group,
4. name the advantage of the collaborative-learning,
5. name the advantage and disadvantage of self-learning

Some points to remember when you set up
a learning group:
1. Select friends who seem to share your desire to
reach your academic goals,
2. Look for friends who stay alert in class, take
notes, ask questions, response to the lectures
questions,
3. Limit your group to 4 6 students (large group
get unwieldy and small group can easily get off track).
4. Schedule a meeting to test the water and see
how you get along together.
Once the group seem to be doing well, try to schedule
regular meetings.
Some principles to follow:
1. Question each other on the material assigned,
2. Take turn teaching each other the material,
3. Try to predict test questions. Write them down and
begin to develop your own test bank,
4. Make sure someone take the role of the session
leader to keep the session productive,
5. Compare notes. Maybe you need yours fill in, or
maybe you can help someone else fill in theirs,
6. Take a few minutes at the end of the session to
evaluate what you have done,
7. Plan the next meeting. Give the group assignment
if appropriate.
Some advantage of collaborative-learning:

1. Safe time efficient learning,

2. Develop communication skill
3. Learn to work in a group,
4. Learn to respect each- other,
5. Share the information,
6. Learn can be fun.
Some advantage of self-learning:
1. Learn in high concentration,
2. Deep learning,
3. Independent responsibility

Some disadvantage of self-learning:

Easily to get bore and sleepy
