AMANISHAH nallah
Amanishah Nallah is the MAJOR DRAIN OF JAIPUR CITY. This Nallah travels a
distance of about 47.5 KMs FROM THE ORIGIN POINT TO CONFLUENCE POINT OF
DHUND RIVER

Dravyawati river is the new name given to Amanishah Nallah which originates
from the hills of Nahargarh fort and TRAVELS THROUGH THE CITY OF JAIPUR
THROUGH THICKLY POPULATED RESIDENTIAL COLONIES.

Entire length of Nallah has been DIVIDED INTO DIFFERENT REACHES for
convenience

DIFFERENCE IN ELEVATION from zero chainage to chainage 47.5 km is 134 m

The Nallah CARRIES STORM WATER DURING MONSOON SEASON. In additions to

storm water drains, LARGE NO OF UNTREATED SEWAGE CARRYING DRAINS ALSO
JOINS THE NALLAH AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS.
6
TRIBUTARY drains & RAIN WATER streams
Clause 5.2.2 : About 12 big drains joins the Nallah and 75 nos untreated sewage
carrying drains joins the Nallah at various locations

Clause 5.2.4 : The list of the observed locations where such waste water finds
entry in the drain have been given in Annexure 10 of the contract document.
TOTAL NO OF TRIBUTARY DRAINS are 81 nos
TOTAL FLOW is appx 152.937 MLD

Clause 5.2.15 : At some places there are FEW EXISTING RAIN WATER STREAMS,
WHICH ARE NOT CONNECTED TO NALLAH.

Clause 5.2.4 : The major portion of the dry weather flow collected flow under the
B2 by pass where it was measured as about 100 MLD
7
SEWERAGE network
Clause 5.2.4 : IDEALLY THERE SHOULD BE NO DRY WEATHER FLOW IN THE
DRAINS ENTERING THE AMANISHAH DRAIN and the waste water should be
collected through sewerage system and connected to a STP.

Clause 5.2.4 : There are areas which have been sewered and are TRANSFERRING
UNTREATED SEWAGE INTO THE TRIBUTARY DRAINS.

Clause 5.2.4 : Major part of the catchment has been sewered but still some areas
need to be sewered and new areas will also develop.
Providing of the SEWERAGE SYSTEM IN THE CATCHMENT AREA IS NOT A PART OF
THIS CONTRACT.

25
WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT !
In most engineering-intensive organizations, a majority of the DESIGN
ENGINEER'S TIME IS SPENT ON ROUTINE, REPETITIVE TASKS THEREBY LIMITING
HIS/HER TIME AND MINDSPACE FOR CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION.

We IDENTIFY REPETITIVE TASKS, achieve consensus on the best practices to

accomplish each task and AUTOMATE IT TO A USER-FRIENDLY LEVEL.

It has often been said that A PERSON UNDERSTANDING OF A CONCEPT

IMPROVES WHEN HE TEACHES IT TO SOMEONE ELSE.

We believe that a person understanding of concept is complete when he teaches

it to a computer, i.e., express it as an algorithm THE ATTEMPT TO FORMALIZE
THINGS AS ALGORITHMS LEADS TO A MUCH DEEPER UNDERSTANDING than if we
simply try to understand things in the traditional way.

OUR USP GIVING TECHNICALLY CORRECT, ECONOMICAL & PRESENTABLE

OUTPUTS IN RECORD TIME TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE CLIENT.
26
AUTOMATION IN WORKING
USE OF STANDARD AND REPUTED SOFTWARES ETABS, SAP2000, SEWERGEMS,
WATERGEMS

Developing in-house software WE HAVE COMPLETE COMMAND OVER THE USE

OF PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE for EXCEL, called VBA and programming
language for AUTOCAD, called AUTOLISP and FORTRAN.

HIGH END MATHEMATICAL LIBRARIES for faster problem solving such as Basic
Linear Algebra Subprograms (BLAS), Linear Algebra Package (LAPACK), INTEL
Math Kernel Library (MKL).

Using high-end programming we have been able to make EXCEL AND AUTOCAD
TALK TO EACH OTHER in many of our processes.
This STANDARIZES THE PROCESSES and so the OUTPUT BECOMES COMPANY
SPECIFIC RATHER THAN PERSON SPECIFIC.
27
ECONOMY IN DESIGN
Achieving ECONOMY in safe design is the ENDEVOUR OF EVERY CONSULTANT.

We keep very CLOSE WATCH ON THE STATS RELATED TO ECONOMY. Excel sheets
give the ESTIMATED QUANTITIES ALONG WITH THE DESIGN ON THE FLY.
Therefore, design engineers remain conscious of this aspect.

We can provide rough estimated quantities even before the drawings are ready.
This is possible because ESTIMATE FOR MOST OF THE COMPONENTS GET
GENERATED DIRECTLY FROM PRELIMINARY DESIGN.

Complete INTEGRATION OF PROCESS OF DESIGN, DRAWING & ESTIMATION saves

precious time and allows for WORKING ON VARIOUS OPTIONS AT PLANNING
STAGE.
