Introduction To: Autodesk Inventor

This document provides an introduction to Autodesk Inventor by explaining the main interface and basic functions for 2D sketching and 3D modeling. It outlines the main tools available in the 2D sketch panel and part tree. It then describes various extrude, revolve, fillet, and hole features that can be used to design 3D parts. The document demonstrates how to transition between 2D sketching and 3D modeling planes and provides examples of features like shells, threads, and arrays that can be applied. It concludes by mentioning the ability to assemble multiple part designs into a single drawing file and provides two example in-class exercises for designing an insects robot and slider-crank mechanism.
