Infinitives

Verbals are non-finite verb forms that function as other parts of speech. The three types of verbals are infinitives, gerunds, and participles. Infinitives are verb forms preceded by "to" that can function as nouns, adjectives, or adverbs. They are distinguished from prepositional phrases by always ending in a verb rather than a noun or pronoun.
