Context information:
The Montessori education was developed by Dr.
Maria Montessori in Rome, Italy in the early 1900s
which is a child- centered educational approach. It is
an approach that values the development of the
whole child i.e. physical, social, emotional and
cognitive. Montessori Education is a comprehensive
educational approach from birth to adulthood based
on the observation of childrens needs in a variety of
cultures all around the world. Montessori education
is frequently described as an Aide to Life.

Significance of the study:

This study was able to address parents


misconceptions aboutthevalue of the Montessori
approach. By listening totheparents and families,
we were able to identify ways to more effectively
communicate the benefits of a Montessori- based
education. The result of this study also served as a
reference to Montessori kindergarten on their service
quality that related to parents satisfaction

Findings and Discussions:
It is apparent that each parent has his own personal trait
when selecting a Montessori school for their child. However, it
has been observed that with the help of better scope of
primary goals in Montessori schools, parents are influenced
towards this kind of education system. This research studied
several factors which included socio demographic factors
(gender, occupation, qualification) and attitude towards
different factors (primary goals of Montessori education,
service quality provided, academic factors, competitive tasks
for child).
Conclusion and Action Implication:

Conclusion:
Early childhood education has a significant role to play in
perpetuating the desirable changes parental perception
towards Montessori education in society.
. It provides a major influence on the development of childs
intellectual capacities, interpersonal skills, social behavior and
personality of children
Majority of parents visualized preschool education is a
combination of concepts. It is the initial preparatory step
towards primary schooling.
Parents should be sensitized to the importance of
preschool education and its vital role in childrens
lives.

The planners and school personnel should focus on


child centered curriculum for the wholesome growth
and development.

There should be participation and involvement of


parents in early education to improve the
performance and the best outcome of child.
