 Transplantation is a highly specialised service
 Available only at certain hospitals
 Therefore, no specific organisational structure

 Kidney transplantation – HKL, selayang
 Liver transplantation – selayang
 Heart transplantation – National Heart Institute,
Institute of Respiratory Medicine
Operational units – transplantation
 Cornea transplantation – available at all hospitals
with opthalmologist but mostly done at Sungai
Buloh and HKL.
 Bone marrow and haematopoeitic stem cell
transplantation – HKL, Ampang, later in Penang
 Bone grafts and skin transplantation – various
hospitals
