Brake

The brake system uses hydraulics controlled by a brake pedal. It uses spring-applied, hydraulically-released disc brakes. The brake hydraulic circuit is separate from the main hydraulics. A fixed displacement gear pump located in the converter supplies oil to two 6-liter accumulators for brake pressure. The brake valve block contains valves and pressure transducers to regulate brake pressure from the accumulators to the front and rear brakes. Electrical controls activate the brake valves based on conditions like emergency stop status, engine running, door closed, and transmission pressure.

Kessler FS (Posi-Stop type) brakes, spring applied /
hydraulically released
Brake hydraulic circuit is totally separated from main
hydraulics
Fixed displacement gear pump located in converter
Two 6 liter accumulators
Oil spec a bit different than in Dana brakes:
Engine oil API SE/CD
ATF C-3 or Dexron
Hydraulic oil HLP DIN51524
